Starting next Monday, Feb. 27, Gilroy Patch will kick off its first ever Best of Patch series.

Over the next 12 weeks, our readers will have a chance to vote for their favorite businesses and service providers in a number of fun categories.

Every week we'll post a Best of poll asking users to vote on their favorite. Readers will also have the chance to rate and post a review on the business through our Gilroy Patch Places page.

Then, on Friday, check back for the results. Winning businesses will get a nifty Best of Patch certificate.

However, because our poll isn't scientific, it won't be the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, who will base their decision on the poll results and reviews left by readers on the Patch Places page.

Readers are asked to please vote only once per survey, per Patch site.
