Dine at Applebee's Tuesday to Benefit the Special Olympics

Dine at Applebee's on Tuesday, April 24, and be served by local law enforcement whose "tips" will go toward funding Gilroy's annual Special Olympics event, which includes a torch run in June.

Tip-a-Cop brings local law enforcement personnel and Special Olympics athletes together for a day of food, fun and awareness.

Every year, local police volunteer as celebrity wait staff, helping to deliver food and refill drinks, all for "tips" to help fund Gilroy's annual Special
Olympics event.

On Tuesday, tips left for cops by locals who are dining at Applebee's, located at 8200 Arroyo Circle, will go toward benefiting the Special Olympics. Then, on June 13, there will be a Special Olympics torch run through Gilroy.
