Get Out In Gilroy: Fantasy Weekend at the Renaissance Faire, Gilroy High Football and More

Scout Camp Night at Gilroy Gardens, Gilroy High looks for its second straight league win and MOMologues continues its run at Lizarran downtown.

Where/When: 10031 Pacheco Pass Hwy. in Hollister. Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Why Go: Fairies and other mystical creatures will roam the grounds all weekend long during Fantasy Week at the annual Renaissance Faire in Casa de Fruta. Join Titania, the queen of the fairies, and others during the final weekend of the faire.

Pricing: General Admission ticket: $25. Weekend pass: $35

Where/When: , 3050 Hecker Pass Rd. in Gilroy. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

Why Go: Gather your troops and do something cool with them this year. Separate dates are available for Girl Scouts/Brownies and Boy/Cub Scouts. Each camp night includes a special patch, educational activities and more at Gilroy Gardens.

Where/When: , 275 Main St. in Watsonville. Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Why Go: The One Million by One Million group will be holding its 100th free roundtable for entrepreneurs this week in Watsonville. A dozen entrepreneurs will be sharing their stories in hopes of inspiring and informing other aspiring entrepreneurs. Take some time out of your day and pick the brain of one of the dozen guests on hand to share, inspire and inform.

Where/When: , 7400 Monterey St. in Gilroy.  Friday and Saturday night, from 8 to 10 p.m. 

Why Go: The Limelight Actors Theater and the Gilroy's Downtown Theater return to Lizarran Tapas Restaurant with the production of  “The MOMologues: The Original Comedy about Motherhood”. A hysterical, and at times poignant, comedy offering an honest, funny look at motherhood. Follow the journey of four mothers and their experiences with the first chapters of motherhood: attempts at conception, pregnancy, labor and delivery, and adjusting to life with a newborn.

Pricing: $18. Potential attendees should make a reservation for dinner downstairs before the show by calling (408) 842-2095.

Where/When: , 750 W 10th St. in Gilroy. Friday at 7:30 p.m. 

Why Go: Fresh off a 56-28 victory over North Salinas High last Friday, the Gilroy High football team looks to improve to 2-0 in the Tri-County Athletic League play. Standing in the Mustangs way is visiting Alvarez High from Salinas. Gilroy and Alvarez will hit the field at Gilroy High at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night. Gilroy comes into the game 2-2 overall.
