Gilroy's Memorial Day Events Show the City's Small-Town Spirit
From the remembrance ceremony at 9 a.m. at Saint Mary's Cemetery to the parade at 11 a.m. and Family Fun Day starting at 1 p.m. at Christmas Hill Park, there's a full day of events for this all-American holiday.
Mayor Al Pinheiro recently said about Gilroy, "It's getting bigger but still, at heart, it's got that small-town feel."
Gilroy's small-town feel will be at its absolute best on Monday for the Memorial Day events planned to honor our veterans.
The day begins at Saint Mary's cemetery at 9 a.m. with a remembrance ceremony. Mayor Pinheiro noted, "The 9 o'clock service at the cemetery. That's the No. 1 thing."
