Mayor Calls For Public Support of Memorial Day Parade Concert, Fundraiser at Gilroy Gardens

In a recent “Letter to the Editor,” Mayor Al Pinheiro called attention to a concert next week to benefit the Gilroy Memorial Day Parade.

Dinner and Concert Under the Stars to Benefit Memorial Day Activities

The annual Gilroy Memorial Day Parade and Family Day at is a prime example of the spirit of Gilroy, honoring a solemn occasion with a mix of respect, fun and family and community bonding, which was so much more common in small-town America in the past but still can be enjoyed and experienced in Gilroy today. Funding for the events of this special day is reliant solely upon donations. 

On Wednesday, May 4, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., the Gilroy Community Organization is presenting a dinner and concert under the stars at Come enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers and raffles while listening to a concert by the Watsonville Community Band.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 4-10. Children 3 and under will be admitted free.  This fun event will be a great kick-off and provide much-needed financial support for the Memorial Day Parade and Family Day at the Park on May 30.
