New Park Amphitheater is Made in the Shade
A giant screen now shades the Christmas Hill Park Amphitheater.
When Gilroy Patch at 's new amphitheater, Gilroy Garlic Festival was able to list plenty of enhancements made possible through their donation to the city and the financial help of Don Christopher of Christopher Ranch.
Yet one of the site's most iconic features–a giant screen that shades nearly the entire area–was still grounded.
That all changed over the weekend as volunteers and crews raised and mounted the massive transluscent tarp, creating a huge shaded seating area that will be unveiled to the public when the festival opens this Friday.
