Stacked Steak Napoleon Wins Day 2 Cookoff

Napa's Jamie Brown-Miller took first place against seven other contestants.

It started with 280 recipes submitted from around the country, narrowed down to 20 kitchen-tested submissions and, at last, the final eight bound for battle at the Gilroy Garlic Festival Cook-Off Stage.

After the heat hit the pan, it was Napa’s Jamie Brown-Miller who took home $1,000 and top honors with her “Stacked Steak Napoleon” during Saturday’s competition.

Emily Falke from Santa Barbara was runner-up, assembling her “Garlic-Infused Tilapia Beet, Parsnip and Sweet Potato Stackers with Watercress Aioli” on the festival stage.
