Where's This in Saratoga?

This starts a new series in Saratoga Patch, a fun guessing game. A mystery photo will be posted each week showing something in plain sight, but closeup or from an unusual perspective. Readers will try to identify the object and its location.

Look up, look down, look all around. Turn your head this way and that. This is an exercise in seeing outside the box. This is a fun feature, so wild and humorous responses are encouraged. Next week the answer will be revealed.

Is this some kind of secret code?

The new picture is a scan of an 8" x 10" glossy B&W print made by my dad about 1960. This reveals that the secret code consists of the holes drilled into the marble base of the Adam and Eve statue to hold the bronze letters spelling ANTE PECCATUM, BEFORE THE FALL. Vandals had already broken off toes and removed two of the letters, the second C and the final M. Other pictures show additional views.

Is this a statue in the Formal Garden at Villa Montalvo.
