Austin Corini's 'X Factor' Song Impresses Simon Cowell

The Gilroy teen appeared again on the Fox reality show and impressed Simon Cowell but not L.A. Reid.

After convincing Britney Spears that he was good enough for another shot in the Gilroy's Austin Corini got his second shot to advance in the competition Wednesday night.

This round, dubbed "Boot Camp," includes the 120 remaining singers, but the crop will be cut down to 24 by the end of the week.

Sticking with the slow, acoustic trend that he set in his audition when he sang "Wanted" by Hunter Hayes, Corini went with Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love" for his second act.

The performance wasn't exactly met with enthusiasm from the judging panel, but at least one judge went on record believing in Corini's potential.

"I didn't think he nailed the song," L.A. Reid said.

"I think people would like him," Simon Cowell retorted.

Corini advanced to the top 60 of the competition despite trepidation from Reid. Tune into Fox tonight at 8 p.m. to find out if Corini advances further.
