Gavilan Theater Alumni Benefit Show for Carroll G. Briggs All Arts Scholarship

For 26 years, the generosity and warm spirit of Carroll Briggs was an integral part of theater at Gavilan College.

Carroll passed away this year and the Gavilan Theater Alumni established a scholarship in his honor to be offered through the Gavilan College Educational Foundation.

This Saturday, October 8th, please join us for the Gavilan Theater Alumni's benefit performance at the interim GAA Center for the Arts on 7th & Monterey Streets in Gilroy. Proceeds go to the CARROLL G. BRIGGS 2011 ALL ARTS SCHOLARSHIP FUND. Please review attached flier and share. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children.

This family-friendly fundraising event will be an evening of theatre, dance, and musical performances by some very talented former theater and music alumni from Gavilan College, with a special guest appearance by Las Vegas headliner Khris Francis.  Proceeds will help to provide scholarships for children who want to participate in the arts.  All donations are welcome!  We request cash or checks only; no credit cards.  Checks should be made payable to:  "Gavilan College Educational Foundation"  for the "Carroll G. Briggs All Arts Scholarship".

There will be a silent auction featuring several wonderful gift items donated by local art lovers, such as SakaBozzo, Carol on Creativity, CSUMB World Theater, El Teatro Campesino, the Gavilan College STAR Program, and many others, including some of Carroll's artwork.

There will also be a snack bar, and beer and wine will be available.  Please come and enjoy the newly renovated interim GAA Center for the Arts, the artwork, the performances, and help us honor Carroll by sharing his love of the arts with future generations.  Thank you in advance for your support and for sharing this information with others.  We hope to see you at the show!
