Get Out in Gilroy: a Film Fest, a Movie and the Limelight

Why Go:  Thusrday night will be student movie night, as presented by the San Benito Student Film Festival. Check out some of the best student media produced in the country, and then vote to determine the winners of the contest.

Why Go: If you are a golfer, you should consider playing in this fundaiser that aims to raise $5,000 for a scholarship for a local high school senior.  You get a double benefit — enjoy the game, and help someone out, too. Price includes golf, cart, range balls, lunch and dinner and prizes.

Why Go: Bing your own dinner to this two-act comedy. “Norman, Is That You?” is set in present day New York City, and we watch Ben Chambers live his life as his family goes through a series of unexpected events. After his wife leaves him, and his brother betrays him, he comes to NY to share the news with his son, Norman. That’s where he finds the surprises have just begun! Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m.

Why Go:  The City of Gilroy Recreation Department invites you to a free movie in the park! Food available for purchase. Friday night's movie will be The Benchwarmers. Don't forget to bring a blanket or chairs to sit on.
