POLL: Should Battle of the Bands be Covered Every Step of the Way?
Battle of the Bands will kickoff on January 26 at 9Lives and continue through April.
Bands from throughout the Bay Area will be competing in in Gilroy.
The four-month event will showcase three-to-four bands every Thursday starting on January 26 and continuing through April. Semi-finals will be on March 23 and March 30, with the finals taking place on April 21.
Competition for the winning title should be fierce, with talented bands competing for $500 cash, musical gear and recording time at Tool Shed Studio, among other prizes.

Grade-A Bands that are scheduled to perform thus far include Granted Earth,
Cerebellion, Nyceria, Darkest Shade of Red, King Size, The Pounders, 1989, Den of Antiquity, Red Glare.
