There was also a table with information on colon cancer that was setup by Thrive saxophonist and back-up vocalist Scotty Schipper. Schipper, 27, was educating guests about Unify to Thrive, a movement dedicated to eliminating the suffering and loss caused by colorectal cancer.

Schipper, who was recently diagnosed with Colon Cancer, said the Unify to Thrive campaign also aims to educate the public about the disease, which is typically found in 60-year-old men, but is becoming more common in younger populations.

To help raise money for cancer research, the band sells Unify to Thrive apparel online, and donates 100 percent of profits for research, Schipper said.
