Patch's Guide to Black Friday

Wondering what time to set the alarm to snag the bargains? We've got the Black Friday hours for the major stores on the Peninsula.

Black Friday is, in a word, overwhelming. The lines, the crowds, the deals, the stores, the parking lots, the people -- it's enough to make anyone stay home and opt to order holiday presents online.

But guess what -- you can put away your laptop, break out your sneakers and prepare to hit the stores and malls after all to take advantage of the amazing deals!

Patch has created the ultimate Black Friday 2012 guide that aims to help make your shopping experience on the Peninsula easier.

DOINK! Now I get it! This article was just lifted WHOLLY from the San Mateo Patch! I just got an email notice from the San Mateo Patch thanking me for my contribution. GOOD LORD! Does anyone READ what they take from other sources? EDIT them (and the links) so that they apply LOCALLY?!??!?!?! Sad, lazy and shoddy reporting. WITH NO EDITORIAL CREDIT TO THE San Mateo Patch!

Hi COH, thanks for your comments. I'm the editor of San Mateo Patch and just wanted to let you know the Redwood City-Woodside Patch editor had full permission to run this article, as do all the other Patch sites! We often share content that is relevant to other cities and don't "claim" coverage on just one site -- we are all on the same team. In regards to your comments about our guide, if there are businesses you'd like us to add to the Black Friday Guide we'd be happy to. We did not intentionally leave anyone off the list; there are just a lot of businesses to include on the Peninsula! Again, thanks for reading Patch and for commenting. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Laura
