The votes have been tallied and Barbeque 152 was named the best place to grab Memorial Day barbecue around town in this week's Gilroy Patch Readers' Choice poll.
Barbeque 152 , nudging out Famous Dave's Barbeque, which received 34 percent of the votes.
The poll included nine eateries with exceptional BBQ.
Out of the 23 votes, Barbeque 152 received 10, while Famous Dave's BBQ walked away with eight. L & L Hawaiian Barbeque, San Martin Meats, Dickey's Barbeque Pit, Maverick BBQ Restaurant & Lounge and Trail Dust BBQ received one vote each.

"I have eaten BBQ all across the U.S. I would have to say that BBQ 152 is the best in a 50 mile radius! You can see the meat being smoked right there. Everything is so fresh.
I was very disappointed in Dickey's. Maybe I've watched too much of Gordon Ramsey, but, they pulled the ribs out of a box wrapped in cellophane. The hot link was served cold.
Dave's is a good and reliable restaurant with a lot more choices. But, for all around flavor and hospitality...my vote is for BBQ 152!" — Gloria Tanksley
