Readers' Choice: Best Martial Arts School for Kids

You get to pick: What's the best martial arts school in Gilroy?

This week we're asking readers to vote for the best martial arts studio around town. The sport offers an array of benefits to those practicing it, like physical health, knowledge of self defense and offers mental and spiritual gains as well.

Here are some of our favorite local martial arts spots, but if we're leaving one off the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:

Some other places close by include West Coast Tae Kwon Do, United Academy of Martial Arts, Shutz MMA, and America Tae Kwon Do Center in Morgan Hill, as well as True's Tak Kwon Do in Hollister.

If you know of a great martial arts place nearby, you can vote for it at Watsonville Patch, Los Gatos Patch or Cupertino Patch.

A few popular martial arts studios in Watsonville include , , , , and .

Rate these businesses by taking our poll, and give a shout-out to the region's best martial arts business in the comments section.

We also hope you'll click on the links provided here to rate the businesses on their Patch Places listings and even leave a review, if you're so inclined.

Because this poll isn't scientific, it's not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch. And please read the rules to the right before participating.

The Reader's Choice poll closes Friday at 9 a.m., and the results will be posted shortly after at around noon. The winner will be determined by the Gilroy Patch editor, who will base her decision on the number of votes in the poll, and the reviews left in the comments section.

So which one is it going to be? Tell us your favorite martial arts place around town, and make sure to tell us why it's the best.

I wish I knew! Hard to vote, when you haven't been a student at any of these. I DO know that my 6 year old daughter is interested in taking Karate, and I'm trying to figure out where to send her... anybody have any suggestions?

I'm sorry Brian... I wish I could help you but I don't know of any place. I don't have children and I'm too clumsy to participate in the martial arts balancing act ;p
