SNAPSHOTS: Anniversary Party Celebrates the Return of Theater to Downtown Gilroy

Limelight Actors Theater Celebrates its one-year anniversary and the return of theater to downtown Gilroy.

Around 30 people turned out to celebrate the return of live theater in downtown Gilroy during a party commemorating the one year anniversary of Limelight Actors Theater.

The anniversary party, held at the Gilroy Center for the Arts, included entertainment, a cake decorated with Limelight's iconic lime, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony coordinated in partnership with the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce.

"It was very well attended and guests included the mayor and several Limelight patrons who have supported us since day one," wrote Kevin Heath of Limelight, who also serves as president of the Gilroy Arts Alliance. "We offered a wonderful spread of finger food and lots of champagne."

Guests not only enjoyed an array of food, drinks and great company on Friday, but were also greeted by a performance of Limelight's newest show, Alone Together Again.

"After the ribbon cutting, the evening was filled with a sold-out performance of the show," Heath wrote. "The audience was entertained with our new show, and offered rave reviews of it after."
