A Christopher High School student was arrested at school for sexually assaulting a Saratoga High School student who later committed suicide when photos of the assault were shared on Facebook.

After a six-hour stand-off, a man who claimed to have a bomb at at Kern Avenue apartment complex was arrested by Gilroy police.

Landline, cell phone and Internet service was out for many Gilroy residents for 24 hours after a fiber optic cable was cut. AT&T called the act "sabotage," and offered a huge reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest.

A Firebaugh man was killed in a gang shooting that led to multiple peace rallies in Gilroy. The victim's mother later claimed that her son was no longer in a gang and had cleaned up his life.
