Joe Ramirez Keeps His Look Fresh With a Variety of Styles

The 24-year-old incorporates a bit of punk and country into his style of dress.

Los Banos resident Joe Anthony Ramirez takes pride in having a unique style. To achieve this look, he switches up his style of dress on a daily basis. One day he'll be sporting a cowboy look, the other day a punk one, and the list continues from there. Patch had the chance to chat with the 24-year-old Spaniard and learn about his style of dress. Check out what he has to say, below.

Gilroy Patch: How do you describe your style of dress?

Joe Ramirez: It has to be unique, exclusive all the time, and I like to stand out most of all. I'm a bit of a culture guy, so I keep it real with who I am, my personality and stuff. I'm Spanish, so I like to look Spanish. I like to go to the gym and work out, so I like to wear clothes that allow me to show off my progress.

Patch: You said that maintaining a unique look is important to you. How do you achieve that?

Ramirez: I go with my personality. If I'm feeling wild, I can go for a little punk look. Sometimes I dress in a more casual way, then there’s the clean-cut look, and the gym look with just some sweatpants and a thermal.

Patch: Do you try to switch your look up daily?

Ramirez: Of course, like in the morning I might look a particular way, and then in the evening, of course, that's when my day actually begins, so I like to dress more formal.

Patch: Tell me about what you're wearing now.

Ramirez: Well, right now I'm not wearing boots, but I like to wear cowboy boots. If I stay in Los Banos, where I reside, I usually dress like that everyday, so when I hit the city I try to change it up a bit. The belt I’m wearing isn’t really cowboy-ish, but I like variety, so I try to mix it up.

Patch: I notice that you’re wearing that love bracelet. Is that another way you individualize your look?

Ramirez: I'd say, and the shades too, cause if you party too much and you didn't get enough sleep, you've got to cover up the eyes.

Patch: Have you partied too much recently?

Ramirez: I was trying to find a party where I could go dance, but it seems like girls don't like to dance nowadays, I don't know why...

Patch: Haha, who knows... So, tell me about your bracelet.

Ramirez: I got it in San Jose, my beliefs are Christian and love represents God and God represents love, so it's like I'm wearing the word, and I just feel blessed, I guess. It's not a charm or anything like that, but it makes me feel loved.

Patch: I also noticed that you’re sporting some facial hair. Do you consider that to be part of your unique style?

Ramirez: Yeah. I was born with what people call 'horse hair,' because for one, it's rebellious, you can't really tame it unless you just let it grow. Facial hair can be kind of stubborn sometimes, so I just let it grow out and shave it. I like to have a clean-shaven look every day.

Patch: Is there a celebrity whose style of dress you admire?

Ramirez: Yes, actually, my favorite soccer player. He's from Spain and his name is David Villa Sánchez. He's really trendy, but his style of dress seems to be more about his personality. You can see that he's a cool guy through the way he dresses.

I tell everyone he's my uncle because for one, I kind of look like him and two, his last name and my last name go way back to the old ages in Spain, with all the kings and princes and nobles. So my last name is noble and his last name is noble, so we're connected in a way, I think.
