Police Blotter: Girl Reports Child Abuse, Father Arrested

Thursday, June 6
Drunk in Public: A 21-year-old woman was arrested for public intoxication on Swaner Drive just after midnight. 

Grand Theft Auto: A vehicle was stolen from a driveway on Murray Avenue. 

Wednesday, June 5

Car Burglary: Two break-ins were reported on Camino Arroyo around lunchtime. 

Stolen Bike: The lock was cut. The bike was parked on the south side of the Gilroy Library.

Warrants: A 24-year-old woman was arrested on Forest and Old Gilroy streets around 4:15 p.m. At 5:30, a 31-year-old woman was picked up for a warrant on Monterey Street. 

Assault: A 47-year-old man was arrested for hitting his girlfriend on Monterey Road shortly.

Car Break-in: A man broke the rear window to a car on Kern Avenue, stealing a black computer bag.

Tuesday, June 4
Strong-Arm Robbery: A 20-year-old woman was arrested on Forest and Ivy streets for allegedly stealing an iPod. 

Car Burglary: A Michael Khors purse was stolen from a car parked on Church Street.

Drunk in Public: A 55-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication on the 800 block of Fourth Street.

Suspicious Note: It was found in a men's bathroom on Camino Arroyo. 

Theft: Happened via EBT card. It was reported on Monterey Street.

Car Burglary: A gym bag with workout weights in it was stolen from vehicle parked on the 800 block of Monticelli Drive.

Domestic Violence: A man got into an argument with the mother of his three children. He allegedly pushed and dragged her, and was arrested. It happened on Santa Fe Drive around 8 p.m.

Shoplifting: Two females were ticketed for stealing alcohol from Safeway on First Street.

Car Theft: A black 1992 Acura Integra was stolen from in front of 1210 Juniper Drive. The car had been broken into the day before and the owner had only recently purchased it from a friend. 

Monday, June 3
Dog Fight: A pit bull bit a German shepherd on Snowberry Court.

Drugs: A 48-year-old woman was arrested for having methamphetamine and on warrants on Sargent street. 

Weapons: A knife was recovered at Gilroy High School.

Disturbance: A 20-year-old woman was arrested for being high on methamphetamine after reportedly causing a disturbance on Spencer Court around 9:30 p.m.

Drug Use: A person was ticketed for having drug paraphernalia, marijuana and stolen property at a home on Juniper Drive.

Runaways: Teenager were reported missing in separate incidents on IOOF Avenue and 

Hit and Runs: A vehicle was rear-ended while stopped at a light on Camino Arroyo and Renz Lane around 1 p.m.. The driver fled. In an unrelated incident, a hit and run was reported on Cimino Street around 3:30 p.m.

Sunday, June 2
Car Burglary: A thief stole a mechanical altimeter from a vehicle parked on Rea Street overnight. 

Saturday, June 1
Child Abuse: A girl reported her parents were abusing her. She and her siblings were removed from their home. Their father, age 31, was arrested.

Friday, May 31
Arson: A student lit toilet seat paper on fire in a bathroom at Gilroy High
