The rally began with speakers expressing why they felt it was important to participate in the Occupy movement. Attendees participated for varied personal reasons, but were united under one cause: To take the power away from the banks and other big-name corporations, and return it to the people.

As daylight faded, it was protesters cue to hit the streets and begin their march to the Bank of America on First Street, where the action began.

"Bank of America, you're no good, pay your taxes like you should."

"One, two, three, four, don't bank here anymore," attendees yelled to passing drivers, who showed their support with horn honks.

Other messages included, "Take your money off their books, you don't want to bank with crooks."

The rally ended back at Miller Park, where attendees sang Happy Birthday to signify the first Occupy Gilroy.
