Discover Villa Montalvo

Join us for a docent–led, moderate–to–strenuous, two–mile, 400–foot elevation change walk at the 137–acre, grand estate of Senator James Phelan. We travel through the shady redwoods, passing artwork along the way, and up to the Lookout Point for a panoramic view of the San Jose. Most of the walk will be in the shade. During the walk, we will learn about climate change and discover how small changes can lead to broad consequences, both globally and locally here in the Bay Area. Upon return, enjoy a social picnic in the garden. After lunch, join other group members for an optional self–led tour of the gardens and arboretum. Lunch is provided.
