Community Corner

"Dinner in the Garden" Fundraiser

The Gilroy Demonstration Garden is a non profit organization dedicated to supporting and educating the community on environmentally sustainable gardening and healthy living. Judy Hess, Director of the garden, has already brought gardens into local schools and senior living centers on top of creating a wonderful 3/4 acre garden downtown. The garden has donated over 40% of its produce to local soup kitchens, rewards volunteers with fresh produce and is a source for local restaurants. The Demonstration Garden is also the host of the local "Spice of Life" Market held on Sundays, on Monterey and 7th Street.

To help support these efforts, The Gilroy Demonstration Garden will be holding a fundraiser dinner, in the garden on Saturday November 5, 2011 from 4pm - 7pm, located at 7360 Eigleberry between 6th & 7th Street.

We will be serving, appetizer's from The Milias Restaurant, and dinner from Lizarran Tapas Restaurant. There will also be wine tasting, a silent auction and entertainment.  Tickets available at the entrance for $20.00 or you can contact us by email or phone.
