It's another busy week here at , Gilroy's best live entertainment venue, as we power through another series of great shows.
Wednesday night was our Downtown Comedy Night, where we had three hilarious comedians that had everyone in stitches. But if you missed it, don't fret. We host Downtown Comedy Night on the last Wednesday of every month.
Tonight is week five of our competition at 9Lives. After four weeks of great music we’ve advanced four excellent and deserving bands into the semi-final round.
Thursday night another set of hopefuls will show the judges and fans what they have. This week features Hollister's MeatmalleT, San Jose's Scarlet Spoke, San Francisco's Out For Blood and Morgan Hill's ATFL. Doors open at 8 p.m. with the first band taking the stage at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available online, at the door and from the bands.
Did you know it’s perfectly legal to dance in Gilroy? It's true, and to celebrate the recent passing of a we’ll be hosting a night of great music and dancing. Rock Solid, one of the finalists from the KFOX Last Band Standing competition, will be performing all night long with great rock, blues and dance songs just for you. The dance party begins at 9 p.m.
Then on Saturday, it's Evolution—the ultimate tribute to Journey. Recognized as the best Journey tribute band in the country, Evolution will be performing all the hits from one of music's all-time greatest bands.
You never know, you might even get a surprise guest performing with the band from the original Journey, as it’s known to happen.
Opening the show will be Gilroy's own Red Glare. Doors open at 8 p.m. with music starting at 9 p.m., but get there early to ensure a ticket because we expect a full house for this show.
