Letter to the Editor: Romney Said What?

Mitt Romney has declared war against environmentalism. Was that the smart move?

The following letter was submitted by Marc Perkel in response to Mitt Romney's speech at the Republican National Convention:

I was listening to Mitt Romney's speech at the Republican National Convention. He ended it by taking a shot at environmentalists, ridiculing the idea of doing something about the oceans rising and healing the planet.

I'm listening to him with my mouth open thinking "WOW, he really said that? He's running against the environment and the planet? And that was his closing comment? Are you kidding me?"

Romney brings to mind the cartoon of a man in a tree sawing off the limb that he is sitting on. Someone who is completely disconnected from the idea that actions have consequences. This is our home. This is the air we breath, the water we drink, and the food we eat.

Romney needs to learn how to live in the right relationship to reality. He's clearly not ready to be president.

I'm Marc Perkel - And I approve this message!

Do you agree with Romney's stance on the environment? Or is he way off base? Tell us in the comments!
