87-Year-Old Gilroy Man Arrested For Failing To Register As Sex Offender
Patrick Silvester Gaines had been in violation of the registration requirements since July.
An 87-year-old Gilroy man was arrested in Santa Cruz this week because he failed to register as a sex offender, the San Jose Mercury News reported.
Patrick Silvester Gaines, who had been in violation of the registration requirements since July, was arrested by Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies.
Silvester, who had a prior conviction for “lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old”, was released into the custody of his son-in-law and ordered to register with the offender registry in Gilroy.
