After Stabbing, Two Suspects Remain At Large
One of the suspects is identified as 18-year-old Michael Velasquez.
Gilroy police are looking for two suspects after a robbery that left one victim with multiple stab wounds and two with minor injuries Wednesday morning, according to a press release from the Gilroy Police Department.
One of the suspects has been identified as 18-year-old Michael Velasquez, a Gilroy resident, and the other as a light-skinned Hispanic adult between 18-19 years old, police said.
Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 7100 block of Church Street, discovering the injured victims upon arrival, police said.

The stabbing victim is being treated at a local hospital for his injuries, according to Gilroy police spokeswoman Amanda Stanford.
During their investigation, officers determined that Velasquez and the second suspect approached the victims in a carport and “demanded property from the individuals.” After the robbery, the suspects ran away, according to the release.

Police tried to serve a warrant on Velasquez, yet he remains at large, according to the release.
“The Gilroy Police Department remains determined to locate Velasquez,” police said.
Velasquez is 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The second suspect is described as 18-19 years old, between 5-foot and 5-foot-10 with a stocky build, short hair and no facial hair. The second suspect was last seen wearing baby-blue, basketball-style shorts and a white T-shirt, according to the report.

Police are investigating the incident as a gang crime through the department’s Anti-Crime Team.
