Armed Men Steal Jewelry from Gilroy Business

Two men robbed the business at 281 First St. in Gilroy Monday morning, making off with an undisclosed amount of jewelry.

At 10:31 a.m., the men entered the store and one of them pointed a "long gun" at the employee. Both men then threatened the employee, demanded jewelry and took off in what is thought to be a gray Toyota Avalon with paper license plates, Sgt. Pedro Espinoza said.

Police arrived on scene minutes after the incident and were not able to find the men.

No one was hurt during the robbery. 

The suspect with the gun is described as Hispanic, 5'8", wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans and dark shoes. The other man is also Hispanic, wearing a straw hat, white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark shoes.
