Cluster of Crashes After Victim Chases Car Thief

Updates from the most recent press report of the Gilroy Police Department.

Thieves who tried to steal a man’s 1990 Honda on Friday were able to get away, but not before the victim chased them down in his pickup truck, according to the most recent press report of the Gilroy Police Department.

The victim reportedly saw his Honda being stolen from his driveway at 2:03 a.m., driving after his car as it sped away from his home on Brook Way, according to the report.

The suspects had a second car–a white Honda Accord–that sideswiped the victim’s truck on the intersection of Church Street and Victoria Drive, causing it to stop, police said.
