A Gilroy man was arrested Saturday after a parole search of his home uncovered a gun, ammunition and drugs, police said.
Joshua Williams, 23, was contacted by anti-crime officers Saturday in the 700 block of First Street while he was riding as a passenger in a vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, Robert Altamirano, was detained for a violation of his parole, and detectives executed a search warrant at Williams' home.
The search located a gun with the serial number obliterated, ammunition and methamphetamine.
Since Williams is a convicted felon, he was arrested on suspicion
of a parole violation as well as firearm, drug and gun possession charges.
