Police Reportedly Confiscate Illegal Fireworks at Paul’s Liquors

Gilroy police confiscated illegal fireworks that an anonymous tipster said were being sold at three locations on Monterey Street, according to the department’s most recent press report.

Police indicated that they confiscated the fireworks on June 30. The report said the case would be sent to the county district attorney for review, but district attorney spokeswoman Amy Cornell said it is still with police.

CORRECTION: The original version of this story indicated that the case involving Paul's Liquors was sent to the DA for review. In fact, according to spokeswoman Cornell, it is still with police. The story has been changed to reflect this correction.
