Dead Man Found behind First Street Grocery Store

The body was discovered by a man on his morning walk.

Gilroy Police taped off the area surrounding Mi Pueblo, a grocery store on First Street and Wayland Lane, on Wednesday morning after a dead body was found by a man on his morning walk.

At about 7:45 a.m., Felix Manuel Chavira spotted the body under an oleander bush near the edge of his property, the Gilroy Dispatch reported.

Chavira told the Dispatch that homeless people routinely frequent the parking lot where the body was found Wednesday morning.

Police have not released the identity of the man or the circumstances that lead to his death.

Stay tuned to Patch on Thursday for details on this story.

Are you going to follow up on this? Or are you just waiting for the Gilroy Dispatch to come out with their update for their paper?
