A driver was transported via helicopter to the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center after enduring major injuries from a collision involving two drivers on Tuesday morning.

The accident happened around 7:20 a.m. on Pole Line Road, just south of the summit, off Hecker Pass and Highway 152, according to Tiffany Lopez, an officer with the Hollister-Gilroy area California Highway Patrol.

Officers reportedly had to find the car using OnStar, a vehicle-tracking service, because the accident happened up a remote, dirt hill. The CHP's investigative unit was also on scene, with a Santa Cruz officer assisting.

One of the drivers was driving a white, Chevrolet Traverse sport utility vehicle, Lopez said. The other vehicle is unknown, along with the condition of the second driver.

CHP officers are at the scene. Check back for an update when more information becomes available.
