Four Teens Arrested after Burglarizing Gilroy Home

A 19-year-old girl, two 16-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy had their crime spree ended on Monday.

On April 29 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Gilroy police officers responded to the 7100 Block of Pitlochry Drive for an in-progress residential burglary.

Four suspects were seen by witnesses entering the residence via a window. An off-duty police officer, who was also in the area, was able to detain one juvenile male suspect while the remaining three fled on foot. Responding officers arrived a short time after and were able obtain additional information from witnesses in the area.

An immediate coordinated search of the surrounding area was initiated. Solórzano Middle School was notified of the incident only as a precautionary measure.

Two more juvenile male suspects were located hiding approximately one quarter mile away near the Uvas Creek area. The fourth suspect was found to be Rochelle Wutzke-Berry, a 19-year-old woman, and was apprehended after she was located hiding near the crime scene.

The investigation also revealed that these suspects were in possession of stolen property belonging to victims in the San Jose area.
