Gang Member Arrested for September Shooting
Allen Joseph Tayson, 24, a was arrested on Wednesday for firing a gun at a house in September.
A known gang member was arrested in Gilroy on Wednesday in connection with a Sept. 20 shooting.
At 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 20, a gun was fired into an occupied home on the 100 block of Old Gilroy Street. No one was hit by the gunfire, but investigations by the Gilroy Police Department's Anti-Crime Team determined that the shooting was gang-related and that the prime suspect was 24-year-old Allen Joseph Tayson of Gilroy.
Over a month and a half after the shooting, the Gilroy/Morgan Hill SWAT Team served a search warrant on the 800 block of Monticelli Drive in Gilroy and according to Sgt. Pedro Espinoza, the "located evidence as a result of this search warrant that connects Allen Tayson with these crimes."

Tayson was arrested and taken to Santa Clara County Jail on charges of shooting at an inhabited dwelling, negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon and dangerous weapon possessed by a gang member.
