Gilroy Man Arrested for Stabbing Woman in Her Home

Police are investigating the incident, which occurred Saturday morning, as an act of domestic violence.

A Gilroy man was arrested Saturday morning for assaulting and stabbing a woman in her home.

Suspect Marcos Organista, 38, entered the victim’s home on Forest Street Saturday at 9:40 a.m. When he saw that her new boyfriend was living there, he began breaking furniture, and stabbed the woman.

“The victim received a non life-threatening laceration,” said Gilroy Police Sergeant Chad Gallacinao.

Organista fled, but was later located by police and booked in Santa Clara County Jail.

Police are withholding details on the nature of suspect and victim’s relationship while the case is being investigated, said Gallacinao. However, the case is being looked into as a domestic violence incident.
