Gilroy Police Name Missing Manslaughter Suspect

Fernando Minero is considered armed and dangerous.

While the is still under investigation, Gilroy Police have named one suspect, although he is not in custody.

Fernando Minero, 24, of Gilroy, is that suspect, and because the murder weapon has not been located, he is considered armed and dangerous, Sgt. Chad Gallacinao said in a prepared statement. 

"He has been actively avoiding police contact since the night of the incident," Gallacinao said.

A warrant for Minero's arrest has been issued, charging him with manslaughter. 

Rojas, the 21-year-old victim, was . He was transported in a private vehicle to Saint Louise Regional Hospital, where he died from his wound.
