Gilroy Police Ask Community For Whereabouts of Suspect

Gilroy PD in search of Mark Anthony Sanchez, 28, with a felony warrant.

Gilroy police are requesting information from the community regarding the whereabouts of a man with a felony warrant out for his arrest that charges him with carjacking and robbery.

Mark Anthony Sanchez, 28, is 6-foot-2 and weighs 260 pounds. He is believed to have left Gilroy, but previously lived on 7400 block of Miller Avenue.

Sanchez was identified as one of two suspects in a May 21, 2009, carjacking and strong-arm robbery. Jesse Vale, the second suspect, was convicted as an accomplice to the crime and received a prison sentence.

Anyone with information regarding his location is encouraged to call Gilroy police at 408-846-0350 or We-Tip at  800-782-7463 (800-78-Crime) to remain anonymous.

Individuals who contact We-Tip and offer information that leads to Sanchez’ arrest may qualify for a reward, the police report said.
