Hwy. 129 Closed Following Fatal Crash
A big-rig and sedan collided near Watsonville earlier today.
Update: Highway 129 has been reopened. Contrary to previous reports, three vehicles were involved in the crash, including a big-rig, a Dodge Neon and a Hyundai Sonata, according to the CHP.
It is not yet known whether it was the driver of the Neon or Sonata that died in the collision.
Original Story: State Highway 129 in unincorporated Santa Cruz County near Watsonville is closed this afternoon following a fatal crash involving a big-rig and red Honda earlier today, according to the California Highway Patrol.

"Unfortunately, this was a head-on collision," a CHP dispatcher said. "Investigators are still out there. We have gotten the vehicles towed and should be re-opening the roads shortly."
The crash, which killed the driver of the Honda, was reported at about 10:40 a.m. on Highway 129, also known as Riverside Drive, at the intersection with Carlton Road.

Eastbound traffic is being diverted to Thompson Road and westbound traffic is being diverted to Carlton Road, according to the CHP.
