Investigators Continue to Look into Crime Lab Leads
They also anticipate receiving new information from the county crime lab regarding forensic evidence gathered from Sierra LaMar's clothing in the coming days.
Investigators are continuing to follow-up on leads generated from county crime lab results for items found in a bag belonging to missing Morgan Hill teen Sierra LaMar, according to Sgt. Jose Cardoza of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office.
"Some of the initial evidence from the crime lab reports gave detectives leads to follow-up on," he said. "Detectives are still doing follow-up interviews with people based on the results from the crime lab."
Cardoza said that no person of interest has been identified based on the crime lab results nor have the results affected the location or the frequency of law enforcement searches for the teen.

"The information from the crime lab gave us something to work with but did not point to anything specific," Cardoza said.

A pair of pants and a T-shirt found folded in the 15-year-old's Juicy-brand bag, discovered on the side of the road two miles from her mother's house, have been . The items were found two days after the teen went missing.
Cardoza said he anticipates investigators will receive new information from the crime lab in the next few days.
