Man Robs Wells Fargo in Morgan Hill, Remains at Large

The man, in his early 20s, robbed the bank on Saturday.

A man who robbed a Morgan Hill Wells Fargo bank Saturday afternoon remains at large, police said Monday.

Morgan Hill police responded to the Wells Fargo branch at 17590 Monterey Road at 1:45 p.m. on a report of a robbery.

A man approached an available teller and passed her a note demanding money from the cash drawer, police said. The note made reference to the suspect having a gun, although one was not seen.

The man was given and undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank south on Monterey Road, police said.

He is described as a black man in his early 20s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with a slender build.

The FBI has been notified and responded to the bank to assist with the investigation.
