A man was stabbed and robbed in San Ysidro Park Wednesday night, according to Gilroy Police.

At 7:38 p.m., the man was walking through the park when “at least five men” approached him, according to Gilroy Police Spokesman Chad Gallacinao.

The victim was slashed and stabbed with a knife, and money was taken from his pocket, said Gallacinao. The incident is being classified as gang violence, yet police are still investigating further details behind the motivation.
