The case is still under investigation for the Gilroy man who sustained two gun shot wounds on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old man who sustained two gun shots on Nov. 9 has been released from the hospital, according to Sgt. Chad Gallacinao of the Gilroy Police Department.

The Gilroy resident was on a city street on the 8000 block of Church Street at 2:59 a.m. when he was suddenly shot at, and endured two gunshot wounds. He was transported to a Bay Area trauma center for treatment.

"The information we initially received was very vague, so it's still under investigation to determine if it was a drive-by or if another incident occurred," Gallacinao said. "All we can say right now is that the victim was shot in the 8000 block in the early morning hours of the night."

Gallacinao said the Gilroy Police Department's detective unit is currently handling the case.
