Mi Pueblo Dead Man Identified

The body found Wednesday morning in Gilroy has been identified.

The in the parking lot behind Mi Pueblo, a grocery store on First Street and Wayland Lane in Gilroy, has been identified as Timothy Ozuna, the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner's office told Patch.

Ozuna, 47, was a transient spotted by a neighbor of the store on his morning walk early Wednesday.

The coroner's office declined to release the cause of death. Gilroy Sgt. Chad Gallacinao said Thursday afternoon that a death investigation is ongoing.

According to the Gilroy Dispatch, homeless people are not uncommon in the area where Ozuna's body was found. The neighbor who first reported seeing the body said homeless people routinely frequent the parking lot.
