Mike Honda Visits Sierra LaMar Search Center
It's the first time the congressman has come to the Find Sierra Search Center at Burnett Elementary School in Morgan Hill.
Congressman Mike Honda (D-San Jose) came to show his support for the efforts to find Sierra LaMar Saturday morning by making an appearance at the Find Sierra LaMar search center in Morgan Hill, according to Marlene LaMar, Sierra's mother.
"We knew he was coming but weren't sure when," LaMar said of the congressman's visit.
LaMar wasn't sure if Honda would be joining in the search efforts, but she said he spoke to her and volunteers about his concern for Sierra.

This is not the first time high-profile figures have come to help with efforts to find the missing Morgan Hill teen. In April, State Assemblyman Luis Alejo and 49ers quarterback Alex Smith as they scoured the Morgan Hill terrain for signs of the 15-year-old.
