Gilroy Police are investigating why a 20-year-old Morgan Hill man was stabbed in the neck Wednesday night, Sgt. Pedro Espinoza reported Thursday.
According to Espinoza, police were called to St. Louise Regional Hospital Emergency Room at 10:45 p.m. when a man admitted himself with a upper body stab wound.
The victim told police that two Hispanic males were involved in the stabbing, which occurred in the 7000 block of Millers Avenue, police reported. However, a search in the area did not result in any forensic evidence or witnesses, Espinoza said.
Police believe the incident was gang-related and have handed the case over to the Anti-Crime Team.
