Multiple Gunshots Fired on Neighborhood Street Sunday

The suspects fled, and police have little information to continue their investigation.

Gilroy police were called into action late Sunday after several  gunshots were heard in the neighborhood surrounding , according to Chad Gallacinao, public information officer for the Gilroy Police Department.

Multiple shots were fired from a car on Princevalle Street, between Eighth and 10th streets, at 10:06 p.m., the spokesman said. The type of firearm used is unknown.

The car, described as a dark-blue or black Dodge Charger, was last seen driving southbound on Princevalle, he said. There were no reports of injuries or damage during the incident, and police consider it a felony “reckless discharge of a firearm.”

No arrests have been made related to the incident, and no victim has come forward, Gallacinao said.

"As of right now, there is not much information to continue to investigate the incident," said the spokesman.
