Police Blotter: Attempted Stabbings and Theft

Reports of crime in Gilroy from Thurs. through Sat.

Saturday

12:36 p.m. A man attempted to steal a computer and miscellaneous clothing items from a Walmart on Camino Arroyo, and was confronted by sales representative. The man became loud and disruptive, fleeing the store. The rep obtained a license plate number and the man was arrested.

9:30 a.m. Motel 6 staff called the police for a welfare check on a victim who had been kicked out of the room by her boyfriend. The victim disclosed domestic violence by her boyfriend.

2 a.m. A victim was walking home in the area of Chestnut Street and Lewis Street when 10 men confronted him, one who attempted to stab him 10 days. The victim suffered lacerations on his hands from grabbing the knife and scratches on his right shoulder and back area from falling on a rose bush.

6:10 p.m. A suspect passed a counterfeit $100 bill at the Disney Outlet Store on Leavesley Road.

12:56 p.m. A minor was brought to the office on W 10th Street for possible drug possession. He attempted to leave the office and discarded his marijuana and a pipe under a desk in the office when attempting to get away.

11 a.m. A ’97 Honda Civic (CLP 4LAS977) was stolen from the 300 block of El Toro Way between 6 and 11 a.m. The vehicle remains outstanding.

10:08 a.m. An unknown suspect used an unknown object to puncture/slash on of the tire’s on the victim’s vehicle.

Thursday

7 p.m. A 1994 green Honda Civic 2D was stolen from the victim’s driveway on Glenview Ave.
