Police Blotter: Lots of Thefts

Sunday, Aug. 18
Assault: A person was hit in the head with a beer bottle on Sunflower Circle just after midnight. No arrests were made.

Hit and Run: A 48-year-old man was arrested after a hit-and-run crash with a parked car on Delta Drive around 2 a.m.

Stolen Vehicle: A 1989 Nissan Sentra was stolen from East Eighth Street. It happened overnight.

Theft: Several items were stolen from a home on Cumberland Drive during a party, including cash and jewelry.

Road Rage: It happened on El Cerrito Way and Wren Avenue around 10:45 a.m.

Warrant Arrest: A 62-year-old man was arrested.

Drug Possession: A 42-year-old man was arrested on West Seventh Street around 2 p.m. He also had burglary tools with him.

Shoplifting: A thief stole $126 worth of merchandise from Kohl's around 2:30 p.m.

Theft: A 38-year-old man was arrested on Murray Avenue. Items stolen included a phone, bank cards and a wallet.

Assault: There was a fight on Eigleberry Street around 8:30 p.m. Two people ended up at the hospital to get medical attention for significant head lacerations. No arrests were made.

Theft: A license plate was taken from a vehicle parked on Forest Avenue.

Saturday, Aug. 17
DUI: A 20-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving on Kelton Drive around 1:30 a.m. She was driving erratically in a dirt parking lot near First Street.

Car Burglary: A purse was stolen from a Honda Accord early Saturday. The vehicle was parked on the 7600 block of Monterey Street.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered: A 1986 Toyota pickup was found at the outlets.

Shoplifting: Jewelry, perfume and clothing were stolen from Kohl's. A 36-year-old woman was arrested.

Dog Bite: It was reported on Eigleberry Street around 4 p.m.

Theft: Stepping stones were taken from a yard on Murray Avenue.

Shoplifting: A 35-year-old woman was arrested for stealing perfume and sunglasses from a store.

Warrant Arrest: A 43-year-old wanted man ran from police on Santa Barbara Drive but was caught.

Car Burglary: A Mercedes was broken into at the Gilroy Premium Outlets around 7:30 p.m. A laptop, iPad and other items were taken.

Vehicle Break-in: The smash-and-grab job happened on Arroyo Circle around 4 p.m. A laptop, digital camera and other electronics were taken.

DUI: A 46-year-old man was arrested at Welburn and Wren avenues around 10 p.m. for drunken driving.

DUI: A 34-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on First Street and Westwood Drive just before midnight.
