Police Blotter: Stolen Vehicle Crashes at South Valley Middle School

Monday

3:41 a.m. A suspect was arrested for a commercial burglary at E. Tenth Street.

1:47 a.m. A driver was arrested at a traffic stop at the intersection of Alexander Street and Old Gilroy Street. The driver was arrested for being under the influence and being unlicensed. He was arrested and later released with a citation.

Sunday

1:30 p.m. A vehicle collided with a fence at South Valley Middle School at Forest Street and Swanston Lane at 1:30 a.m. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene and the car was determined to be stolen from Los Gatos.

Saturday

8:15 p.m. Two male suspects entered into a store at the Gilroy Premium Outlets. One of the suspects distracted the employee, while a second suspect removed items from the victim’s purse.

9:04 a.m. An employee at a store on First Street found 34.10 grams of marijuana in a bag that was donated to the school.

Friday

12:23 p.m. Andrew Vasquez was cited for driving on a suspended license on Leavesley Road and his vehicle was impounded.

2:47 a.m. A male subject attempted to evade arrest and fled from police on Fifth Street/Gourmet Alley. The subject was apprehended by a police K9 after a short foot pursuit.
